Brush Philosophy

In contemporary society, there is an excessive quest for 'quickness'. In the pursuit of being fast, we are often encouraged to do multiple things at the same time, which we call efficiency. We are often urged to 'hurry up' in our lives.

What are we chasing?

The book design chooses "brushing teeth" as a typical representation of the pursuit of efficiency in life. This act of only 3 minutes has been given a variety of meanings. We are encouraged to exercise, listen to the news, watch social media, etc. while brushing our teeth. Thus, with tooth brushing as a trigger, the integration of social production and human life was introduced. How can we choose a more efficient mode of production for our lives, when the efficiency of social production is a disruption to our lives?
